"In accordance with the revisions to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 7A-47.3 enacted by Session Law 2021-47 (SB 255), the Senior Resident Superior Court Judge, the Honorable L. Todd Burke, has entered an Administrative Order establishing a policy for this Judicial District concerning Judicial Assignment in Superior Court Medical Malpractice cases. The new policy, which is set out in the Administrative Order, is attached, along with the new "Medical Malpractice Case Notification and Consultation" Form that is required by the policy. If you have a pending medical malpractice case, you will be contacted by email by the Trial Court Administrator's office about designation of a Judge under the new policy. In the meantime, any questions can be directed to the Trial Court Administrator's Office."
